Malayalam actor Mohan Lal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s film ‘L2 Empuran’ is engulfed in controversies. In the Kerala High Court, BJP leader VV Vijesh had filed a writ petition demanding the film to be banned. However, the court dismissed his petition. The court dismissed the petition as a publicity stunt.

VV Vijesh is a member of the BJP Thrissur District Committee. He objected to the showing communal riots after the Godhra incident in the film. The petition said that this is a threat to communal violence.

The Sangh Parivar expressed protest

Please tell that the film was released on 27 March. On the same day, the Sangh Parivar strongly criticized the film on social media. After this, Mohanlal regretted through Facebook post and said that objectionable parts would be removed. According to reports, the makers have re -edited the film. However, the petitioner has termed Mohanlal’s statement as a marketing agenda to force the public to watch the film.

Prithviraj accused of tarnishing NDA’s image

The petitioner said that the film has made such comments about the Ministry of Defense, which will harm its credibility and integrity. The petitioner alleged that the film was in danger of communal violence.

The petitioner further said in his charge that the film’s director Prithviraj has a habit of tarnishing the NDA government through his films. It was also alleged that the film’s producers Antony Permbavur and Gokulam Gopalan are under the scope of ED for foreign funding.

The scene removed from the film after the controversy

The scene of the film which was having a controversy has been removed from the film. Talking to reporters in Kochi, the film’s producer Perumbavur said that the edit’s decision was of all the producers including Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran. And it was not taken out of fear of anyone.

Permbavur said- ‘There is nothing to fear. We live in a society. We never intended to do anything that hurt someone’s feelings. If someone is unhappy with the film, as the producer, director and actor of the film, we all have the responsibility to remove his complaint.
