President Draupadi was the chief guest of the inaugural program of National Conference 2025 organized on environment.
Justice Vikram Nath of the Supreme Court said, ‘In the capital of India (Delhi), the level of pollution is high. I think we all believe that it is not acceptable for our children to grow up in such an environment where they need masks to play outside or worry about respiratory diseases at an early age. ‘
On Saturday, Justice Nath arrived at the inaugural program of National Conference – 2025 held on environment at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. The chief guest of the program was President Draupadi.
Justice Nath said- We need to find solutions that maintain balance between economic development and the good of the environment. Government policies should focus on green technologies.
He also expressed concern over water pollution in the program. He said that many holy and ancient rivers are filled with dirt.

- We should come together for regulating emissions, investing into clean technologies and sustainable transport options. So that we do not have to compromise with breathing air and financial progress.
- When I look at the edges of these rivers, I miss old things. How vibrant and pure this water was once. We are unable to conserve them in their natural pride. This is a matter of concern.
- It is necessary to treat industrial waste, increase the infrastructure of sewage and encourage local communities to maintain cleanliness on the river.
- The Green Body has emerged as a ray of hope since its establishment in 2010. Has played an important role in streamlining the resolution of environmental disputes.
- The government should encourage green technologies. Industries should be careful about their environment foot marks.
- The judiciary is committed to maintaining the constitutional guarantee of a healthy environment. No institution can complete the huge work of environmental protection alone.
Attorney General said- Need to re-design environmental laws
