Delhi University Changed Decision Students Can Get Admission in Bom Honors without Math

Delhi University (DU) has withdrawn its decision to make mathematics mandatory in 12th standard for admission to BCom Honors. Now those students will also be able to take admission in this course, who have not read the mathematics subject in 12th. Due to this decision, the doors of BCom Honors have been reopened for many students, who could not enroll in this course due to lack of mathematics earlier.

This decision was opposed

According to the information, DU had earlier implemented the rule that it would be necessary to read Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in 12th to enroll in BCom Honors. After this decision, students and different teacher organizations opposed it, because this limited the career options of those students who were studying in commerce stream without mathematics. Thousands of students could suffer from this decision, due to which student organizations and academics demanded to change it.

DU changed the rules

The University of Delhi has now implemented new rules, so that it has become possible to take admission in BCom Honors without reading mathematics. Now students can take the exam with one of two different subject combinations in CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

Math or applied mathematics

Any two other topics of the list B1

This can become another combination

Any language

Accountancy or Book Keeping

Any two other topics of the list B1
