The Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Verma’s bungalow will be heard in the Supreme Court today. The petition has demanded that the Delhi Police be directed to register an FIR. The petition has been filed by Advocate Mathews J. Nedumpra.

Policemen’s phones sent to forensic lab

Bar Secretary Vikrant Pandey said that the strike will continue until the Supreme Court takes a concrete decision and stops the transfer of Justice Verma.

Justice Verma’s appearance possible before the inquiry committee

Justice Yashwant Verma’s appearance may be in front of the Supreme Court in-house committee this week. Met senior lawyers on Wednesday before appearing before the committee.   • March 25: Allahabad High Court Bar Association started indefinite strike against Justice Verma’s transfer.
  • 26 March: The in-house committee of the Supreme Court reached Judge Verma’s bungalow with the police. He inspected Justice Verma’s house for about 30-35 minutes. Justice Verma also met the team of lawyers.
  • 27 March: CJI met CJI Sanjeev Khanna, a member of the High Court Bar Association, appealed to reconsider Justice Verma’s transfer.
  • March 28: The Supreme Court heard a petition seeking to register an FIR against Justice Verma.
