The Higher Education Department in Pakistan’s Punjab province has banned dancing on Indian songs in government and private colleges. Under this, students and teachers in Farewells, Sports Competitions (Sports Gala) and other programs in colleges

The official circular issued by the Directorate of Public Instructions (College), the Government of Punjab, states that college education is a holy place and there should not be such activities. If the order is not followed, strict disciplinary action will be taken against the principal, deputy director and other officials of the college.

The government said- promote immoral activities
The Government of Pakistan says that dancing to Indian songs promotes “immoral activities” in colleges. Therefore, the administration has been instructed to strictly stop these events.
Significantly, Indian films and music are very popular in Pakistan. The youth often dance to Bollywood songs, but after this action of the government, it has now been banned in educational institutions.
Action was taken on playing Holi in the past
Last month In Pakistan, an FIR was lodged against Hindu and Muslim students for playing Holi at Dawood University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi. On 21 February, some students of both communities celebrated the festival of Holi in the university campus. Some videos of it also appeared. After which the university administration had registered a case against Hindu and Muslim students playing Holi. Not only this, notices were also sent to many others.
