Revanth became the second Chief Minister of Telangana

In the 2023 Telangana assembly elections, the Congress won a majority by winning 64 out of 119 seats. Then, All India Congress Committee (AICC) and elected MLAs nominated Revanth Reddy as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party. This cleared the way for him to become the Chief Minister of Telangana.
