A Chinese-backed construction firm is under investigation after a 33-storey skyscraper collapsed in Bangkok during Myanmar’s 7.7-magnitude earthquake. The SAO building, a joint venture between Italian-Thai Development Plc and China Railway Number 10 (Thailand) Ltd., crumbled within seconds, trapping dozens under the rubble.
