The Central University of Punjab (CUPB) located in Bathinda, Punjab has emerged as an important institution in the field of education. This university started in the year 2009
The Central University of Punjab was established in 2009 under the Central University Act, 2009. It was one of the 15 new central universities which were established by the Government of India in various states of the country. Initially, the university operated from a temporary campus in Bathinda city. In 2015, the university began to construct its permanent campus at Ghuda near Bathinda, where its main campus is currently located. Spread over 500 acres, this campus was constructed in several stages and is equipped with state -of -the -art facilities.

Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) courses are given admission through the National Level Entrance Examination CUET (Central University Entrance Test) while PhD programs are given admission through UGC-NET/JRF or university through their entrance exams. Reservation policy is followed in the admission process on the basis of merit, in which seats are reserved according to government rules for SC, ST, OBC and other categories.

The Central University of Punjab offers separate courses through different schools and departments. In which BA in graduate courses (Hons) in Journalism and Mass Communication, B.V.O. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry), B.V. (Data Science), B.Sc. (Hons) Physics, B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry, B.Sc. (Hons) MASE, M.Sc, MBA, M.Ed., M. Form in Mathematics and Post Graduate Courses. PhD programs are available in all departments.

Graduation courses
– B.A. (Hons): About 13,000 to 16,000 rupees
– B.Voc: Around 15,000 to 20,000 rupees
– B.Sc. (Hons): Around 15,000 to 18,000 rupees
Postgraduate courses
– Arts and Humanities: Around 15,000 to 18,000 rupees
– Science: Around 18,000 to 22,000 rupees
– MBA: Around 25,000 to 30,000 rupees
– M.Phar: Around 25,000 to 30,000 rupees
– M.Ed.: Around 20,000 to 25,000 rupees
– PhD: About 20,000 to 25,000 rupees
Additionally, hostel fees and examination fees are charged separately. The university also provides scholarship and financial assistance to regular meritorious students.
