Cascading Falls and Hydro Electric Power
A Few Facts On Hydroelectric Power In British Columbia
Our many beautiful 🌊 waterfalls and rivers in BC produce hydroelectric power, or 💡 electricity, that is generated by hydro power. This source of power is produced by nature’s own gravitational force of fast flowing water.
These hydroelectric facilities produce clean and renewable energy for years. In fact, most of our electricity in British Columbia comes from hydroelectricity.
So while you’re enjoying the beauty of the Falls, at the same time our rivers and cascading falls are producing electricity by flowing into the many powerhouse stations in the Province. These stations collect the water and produce electricity using a; Turbine Generator.
