Two construction workers were kidnapped on the night of 25 April from Pangchao area of Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh. On receiving the information, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles carried out a joint operation on 27 April (Sunday).
During the search operation, there were encounters of security forces militants, killing three militants of the banned organization. Four automatic weapons, bullets and other items used in war were also recovered in the campaign. In this action, one laborer has been safely rescued, while the search for another laborer is going on.

Congress MP and MLA attacked during panchayat election campaign in Assam, leader said- BJP attacked
Congress MP Pradhanut Borodoloi and MLA Sibamoni Bora were attacked on Sunday during a panchayat election campaign in Nagaon district of Assam. According to the police, the two leaders have suffered minor injuries while their vehicles were heavy damage. The incident took place in the village of Upumdumia over the Dhing police station, when both the party were going to campaign with the workers.
The police officer said that Borodoloi, Bora and APCC spokesperson Mohsin Khan were moving towards Jangoni village for the rally. At the same time, 10-12 masked miscreants dressed in black clothes stopped the convoy at a deserted place and attacked them. After the incident, Bolodolai alleged that there was an attack at the BJP’s behest.
