US Vice President JD Vance reacted on Thursday to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. He said that he hoped that India will avoid any major regional conflict, responding to Pakistan. He also appealed to Pakistan to cooperate with India in search of terrorists involved in this attack and action.
Vance said in a pod cast interview of Fox News, ‘We hope that India gives an answer to this terrorist attack that did not cause any major regional confrontation. And we hope that if Pakistan is responsible in any way, it will take action against the terrorists who sometimes operate from their land.
When this attack took place, Vance was on a tour of India with his family. Last month, he called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and strongly condemned the attack and expressed deep condolences for those killed. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal informed on X that Vance said that America is standing with India and is ready to provide all kinds of help in this shared fight against terrorism.

China said- America sent messages to start trade conversations, we are assessing proposals

China has said that it is currently assessing proposals to start trade talks from the US. This statement shows a change in tone between the ongoing tension between the US and China, which can open the way of interaction in the future.
A spokesman for China’s Commerce Ministry said in a statement on Friday, the US has recently sent messages to China through several means that it wants to start a trade conversation. China is currently considering these proposals.
This statement has come at a time when Beijing has so far been taking a strict and opposing stance on the tariff policy of the Trump government of America. Now this statement seems a little soft in China’s attitude.
US President Donald Trump has been repeatedly saying that his government has been talking to Chinese officials about the trade deal, but every time it has been rejected by China.
On Friday, China again said that certain conditions are required to be fulfilled before the start of any negotiations.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce said, “Tariff and Trade War started unilaterally by the US. If it has to talk, it would have to show honesty. Under this, it would have to accept his mistakes and withdraw unilateral decisions like tariff hike.
Heavy trade between the world’s two largest economies is at stake. Trump increased tariffs on China to 145% earlier this month, making it difficult for many Chinese companies to trade with the US. In response, China has also increased tariffs on American products to 125%.
