The Central Government extended the tenure of Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) V Anant Nagswaran by two years. Now they will be able to hold the post till March 2027. Nagswaran took over as CEA on 28 January 2022. Apart from this, the tenure of CEO BVR Subrahmanyam of NITI Aayog has also been extended for one year.

Fierce fire in the slum in Goregaon, Mumbai, about 200 huts burnt; No casualties
A fierce fire broke out in Goregaon slums in Mumbai on Thursday. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that 150-200 slums were hit in Goregaon at around 7:30 pm. No casualties were reported. Earlier on 15 February, there was a fire in the FreeMen Hall in Fort area of Mumbai. Four fire brigade vehicles were deployed to control the fire.
