The first wife alleges that ‘Udit Narayan married second without divorcing them. Even after marriage, he did not get his wife’s status and was denied his rights.
Udit Narayan reached the court today in this case. Udit Narayan refused to compromise during court appearance. He has said to fight the case further. Also sought permission from the court to appear from video conferencing.
Earlier, Chief Justice of Family Court Rahul Upadhyay gave Udit Narayan the last time to file a reply by 28 January 2025. At the same time, the court imposed a fine of Rs 10 on him for not appearing in the hearing held on 16 December 2024.
Udit Narayan was seen keeping distance from the media during the court appearance. He also put his hand on the glass of the car, so that he could not take his picture.
‘Udit ji has money, approach’
First wife Ranjana Narayan Jha said that,
Udit Narayan kept his money by selling my father’s property in Nepal 2-3 years ago. He had said that he would send it to the account, but did not send it till date. Now he is also not ready to compromise. They have money, approach.

Udit has two marriages. He first married Ranjana Jha and second to Deepa Narayan (Ghatraj) in 1984, who is a singer himself. Udit’s name was caught in controversies when Ranjana Jha accused him of cheating and getting a second marriage without divorce.
Initially Udit did not agree to talk about marriage. Then Ranjana approached the court and then after showing photos and documents, Udit agreed to the marriage. Let me tell you, he is a son Aditya Narayan from Deepa, who is a singer and actor.
