The accused husband strangled the wife’s stomach and strangled her. Then put his body in a suitcase and ran away from the bathroom.
On Wednesday, a husband murdered his wife in Hulimavu area of Bangalore, Karnataka, filled his body in a suitcase and escaped leaving the bathroom. On reaching Pune, he called his in -laws and informed about the murder. The accused ran away and went to Pune, where he was arrested by the police on Thursday evening.
According to media reports, on March 26, there was a sharp noise between husband Rakesh and wife Gauri Anil Sarkhekar. Shortly, this debate increased, the accused husband strangled the wife’s stomach and strangled her. Then put his body in a suitcase and ran away from the bathroom.
Rakesh and Gauri Anil Sarkhekar, who hail from Maharashtra, were married about two years ago and recently shifted to Bengaluru. About 2-3 months ago, both of them shifted to a rented house in Doddaknahalli, Bangalore.
Rakesh used to work in a private IT company. Gauri graduated with mass media and communication. She was currently looking for a job. There was often quarrels and assaults between the two.
Injury marks on Gauri’s body- DCP
DCP South East said Sarah Fatima said that at around 5:30 pm on Friday evening, we received a call about a suspect hanging case in the control room. When our Hulimavu Police Inspector reached home to investigate on the basis of a complaint, the door was closed. After entering inside, they found a suitcase in the bathroom.
According to the DCP, on opening the suitcase, the body of a woman was found inside it, on which there were bruises. We tried to locate her husband, but she could not be found. When we discovered him, we were told that he was detained in Pune, Maharashtra. We have now registered a case of murder.
Sara Fatima said-
We are further investigating to understand what exactly happened. Gauri’s body pieces were not done. The body had bruises. What kind of injuries were will be confirmed after the post -mortem report.
How was the incident revealed
According to media reports, Rakesh reached Pune on Friday and called the parents of wife Gauri and told that his daughter’s body is in suitcase. He also confessed that he had killed Gauri. After this, Gauri’s parents informed the Maharashtra Police about this.
Maharashtra Police tracked Rakesh’s phone and arrested him. Also informed this to the Bengaluru Police of Karnataka. After which she reached the spot. Police is further investigating the case.
