Chinmoy krishna das bail news: The High Court of Bangladesh has granted bail to the jailed Hindu Hindu saint Chinmay Krishna Das. Chinmay’s lawyer Apoorva Kumar Bhattacharya filed a bail petition in the High Court on 23 April. Chinmay Krishna Das is the priest of ISKCON and Bangladesh is the spokesperson of Sanatani Jagran Jot.

He was arrested at Dhaka Airport on 25 November 2024. After the arrest, Chinmay Das was taken to the court of Southeast Port City Chittagong, who rejected his bail plea the next day and sent him to jail. He was accused of insulting the national flag of Bangladesh.
His petition was dismissed by the lower court of Chittagong on 2 January 2025, after which he filed a petition for bail in the High Court. The High Court had asked the Bangladesh government to explain why Chinmay Krishna Das should not be given bail.
What did Chinmay Das say?
According to The Daily Star’s report, Chinmay Krishna Das’s lawyer Prlad Deb Nath said that he is expected to be released from jail after the High Court order. If the Supreme Court does not stop this decision, then Chinmay Das will be released. A bench of Justice Mohammad Ataur Rahman and Justice Mohammad Ali Raza passed the order after hearing a bail plea filed by Chinmay.
According to the report, on April 23, Chinmay Das’s lawyer Apoorva Kumar Bhattacharya prayed to his client to bail from the High Court bench and said that Chinmay is ill and is suffering in jail without hearing. On 31 October last year, Feroz Khan, former general secretary of Mohora Ward BNP of Chittagong, filed a case at the Kotwali police station.
