More than 10 thousand devotees present in the temple
Security has been increased as soon as the doors of Dham open. The entire temple complex has been taken to the security zone. 500 personnel of Garhwal Rifles, SDRF, PAC and LIU have been deployed.

New Rawal is worshiping, responsibility for Amarnath Namboodari of Kerala
Amarnath is the 24th Rawal, who will continue the 250 -year -old tradition in Badrinath Dham.
The main priests of Badrinath Dham are Namboodari Brahmins of Kerala, called Rawal. Till last year, Ishwar Prasad Namboodari was the main Rawal, but he has left the post due to poor health. This time 30 -year -old Amarnath Namboodari has got the responsibility of new Rawal.
He is the 24th Rawal, who will continue the 250 -year -old tradition in Badrinath Dham. Amarnath is from northern Kerala. This will be his first worship. In the 8th century, when Adi Shankaracharya established four beads in the four dhams, he gave the responsibility of worship in Badrinath to the Namboodari Brahmins of Kerala.
Adi Shankaracharya Advaita Foundation member Shankaran Namboodari told Bhaskar that Rawal is elected among the eligible Namboodri Brahmins of North Kerala. It does not claim any one family. Assistant Rawal is always from Trivandrum.

Ritual of opening the doors of Badrinath Dham
- First of all reach the Rawal temple of Badrinath by 5.20 am. After this, Rawal took permission to go inside by performing Ganesh Puja and Gatekeeper Puja.
- The doors will open at 6 o’clock. Then the sanctum sanctorum will open. The unbroken Jyoti, which has been burning for the last 6 months, will be shifted to another lamp.
- Lakshmi ji and Ganesh ji will be worshiped. All the gods will be removed by the covered melted blanket. After opening the kapat, Nirvana Darshan will be seen without Goddess for 2 hours.

IMD issued an alert for change in weather

17 of PAC, 10 companies of paramilitary forces deployed
