The Panchwati Express running between Mumbai-Manmad has become the first such train in the country to install ATM machines. This facility has been started under Indian Railways under Innovative and Non-Fare Revenue Idea Scheme (INFRIS).
This ATM has been installed in the AC coach of the train and its pilot run has also been completed. Now passengers will be able to withdraw cash even while traveling in the train, which will provide great facilities especially during a long journey.
This ATM has been imposed with the partnership of Bhusaval Railway Division and Bank of Maharashtra. Although some places were seen to have a slight network problem in some places between Igatpuri to Kasara, the machine worked well throughout the journey.
The entire network system has been installed in the train for ATMs. So that his connectivity remains.

Iti Pandey, Divisional Railway Manager of Bhusaval Mandal, said, “The results of ATM trials have been positive. Now people will be able to withdraw money even during the journey. We will continuously monitor the performance of the machine. Interestingly, this ATM will also be available in the Mumbai-Hingoli Jan Shatabdi Express as both trains shares the same rakes.”
ATMs were equipped with shutter system and CCTV cameras for security
The space made for ATMs has a shutter for safety.
All the coaches are connected to the Westibules in this 22 coach train, which can reach all passengers ATMs. Not only money is withdrawn from this machine, but also to order checkbooks and to withdraw an account statement.
