For the first time in his 41 -year acting career, Anupam Kher has worked in the film Tumko Meri Kasam in the direction of Vikram Bhatt. In this film, Anupam Kher plays Dr. Ajay Murdia. This character is being said to be inspired by the life of Dr. Ajay Murdia. During a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Anupam Kher said- We were both looking for others. It took 40 years. Friends who meet late in life, they last long. If you had met first, then this friendship would not have been intact.
We have met today at such a point when we know each other’s weakness and goodness well. At the same time, they also understand the strength of their success. After an age, relationships are needed more. Apart from the film, Vikram’s friendship and his love has been found. He is going to get the tumra. I am happy that.
Do not try to be part of the crowd
Anupam Kher is at such a point in the industry today. Where they inspire people. They always encourage new talent. He says- This film industry will always try to slot you for your ease. So that you become a part of the crowd. This will be easy for them. If you become a part of the crowd, they find others. This has always happened to me.
When I played a 65 -year -old elder in ‘Summary’ at the age of 28. Many people had said how it was done, but it happened. Imagine today that even after 40 years, people remember that character today. Lucky believes that Mahesh Bhatt directed the first film
I consider myself quite lucky that Mahesh Bhatt directed my first film ‘Summary’. The film played the role of BV Pradhan. He was a person who is not afraid of anything. At the age of 28, when he used to think about this character that if I become this at the age of 65, he would be proud of himself. Today I can proudly say that I am like that today.
Has done a lot of films with Bhatt Saheb. He has a great impact on my life. His personality has a great influence. He always advised to speak clearly. He has made a difference in colloquial. Pritish Nandi is no longer, because of him, I have been thrilling a lot in my life. Satish Kaushik was my friend. Such people have had a lot of influence in my life.
Mahesh Bhatt Saheb does not fill his stomach with less money
Anupam Kher considers director Mahesh Bhatt as his guru. Mahesh Bhatt and Anupam Kher have seen many examples of Guru disciple tradition many times. A person gives Guru Dakshina a few times to his guru in life, but Anupam Kher meets Mahesh Bhatt whenever. Guru definitely gives Dakshina. Anupam Kher told- I always give Guru Dakshina to Bhatt Saheb, but now Bhatt Saheb does not fill his stomach with less money. Earlier, the stomach was filled with five hundred rupees. Today, they gave them eleven thousand less. Because last time 21 thousand were given. They started saying that the reason for the envelope is less.
I thought that I would give 100 rupees in an envelope from next time. Earlier, after every film, Guru used to give Dakshina, now Guru Dakshina demands from the front on every event and meeting. She is exactly like my father. When Bhatt Saheb looks from a distance, Guru indicates for Dakshina. I also like to give Guru Dakshina. I am earning God has given a lot. Whatever I am today, because of Bhatt Saheb.

Anupam Kher’s father Pushkar Nath Kher used to work as a clerk in the Forest Department. Anupam Kher told- My father used to get pension. I also used to send them money every month, yet when I used to call, I used to ask when and when he was sending money. I used to be very upset. Used to think that the father’s relationship with us is only because of money? I once said that if I ask for money again, I will not send it. When the call came after him, he used to ask that and everything is fine. And, what I am not saying is telling you.
The mother told Mahesh Bhatt that the son has something then made a star

Anupam Kher said- Once my mother spoke very well to Mahesh Bhatt. After seeing ‘Summary’, when my mother met Bhatt Saheb, Bhatt Saheb said that made your son such a big star. My mother told Bhatt Saheb that only something could be made in it. Only a mother can call a director such a thing.
Guru Dakshina is found without demands
Anupam Kher founded the acting institute ‘Actor Prepairs the School of Actor’ in 2005. Many actors have come out from here after learning acting. When Anupam Kher was asked that the way he gives Guru Dakshina to Mahesh Bhatt. In that way one of his disciples has given Guru Dakshina. In response to this question, Anupam Kher said- I run acting school, but none of my disciples have given Guru Dakshina. I get Guru Dakshina on its own.
An actor Adnan played the role of my son in the film ‘Tumko Meri Kasam’. He performed very well in a scene of the film. I praised him, so he said that Sir, I am your student. As an actor, I earned a lot of name, did films, but when my student says that I have studied in your acting school, I feel this very good thing. I think this is the Guru Dakshina for me.
Some directors are also entangled in themselves
Anupam Kher has also tried his hand in direction. Asked that when performing as an actor in a film, he gives any suggestions to the director. Anupam Kher said- I suggest, but who is a very confident director. He hears the suggestion, but who is not a good director. He does not hear suggestions. He is entangled in itself. He keeps watching his face in his own mirror. He says that he knows his work well. I come there only after performing as an actor. I only pay attention to my script there.
500 movies without script
The conversation continued to move forward and Anupam Kher spoke on the script of films. He said- It is not necessary that every script written is a good script. I have done 540 films, out of which 500 films are without script. No script was written at all. Only used to tell the story. I have done 11 films of David Dhawan. In which all films are superhit. He used to tell what to do on the set itself. He used to say what the script is. Let’s do like this.
Dialogues were written on top of cigarette packets
Anupam Kher further said- I have also done such films in which it was said that the dialogues would be given in the morning. The writer used to come in the morning and the dialogues were written on top of his cigarette packet. They are amazing films. Subhash Ghai ji has a complete film in his mind. The film ‘Ram Lakhan’ has written the egg scene of Mera and Satish Kaushik on the spot. Subhash Ghai Ji said- Tursi to do each other.
Aamir Khan felt poor acting
Aamir Khan was not happy with my character in Mahesh Bhatt Saheb’s film ‘Dil Hai Ki Maata Nahi’. He told Bhatt Saheb that Anupam is doing something strange. I took the getup of Chunky Pandey’s father in it. Mahesh Bhatt came and said that Aamir is thinking that you are not acting properly. I explained to Bhatt Saheb that this man who is finally telling his daughter that Pooja daughter should run away, I am the only father in the world who asks his daughter to run away from the wedding pavilion.
Story tailing is necessary
Today’s actor requires bounded script. I have done 419 films based on story tailing. One was our writer and broke the furniture while narrating the story. From there we used to get an idea of how the film is and how to perform in it.
Indra Kumar got the heart done by giving an example of flying idiom
Anupam Kher played Hazari Prasad in Indra Kumar’s film ‘Dil’. This character was very stingy. Anupam Kher said- When Indra Kumar said that in ‘Dil’ you have to take out the fly and throw sucking, then smoke started coming out of my ears. I could not understand how it could. He had converted for that scene, giving the example of a flychus idiom. The scene has been enjoyed by 1.4 billion people till date.
