The childhood of Amit Sadh has been full of challenges. Their relationship with parents was not good.
Loser was spoken in childhood
When the family’s love is not found in childhood, then the children make a difference. I had no relationship with my parents. My family never hugged me. I used to see another child is being hugged, but nothing was happening to me. In childhood, when you do not get the love of the family, then you start filling a lot of anger inside.
My father was very angry. They have hit me a lot. I was beaten by hockey stick. If I cried while eating, I used to be beaten up.
It was called loser on talk. If the thirteen mountains could not read properly, then the luzer, where is the grave of Aurangzeb, did not answer it. Someone abused with a teacher or friend’s sister and I went and beat the loser. I was told by so many people that I had an impact on me. I started writing myself loser in my diary. I started telling God that you should proof that I am not a loser. I was a very sensitive child. I used to hurt me with all these things.
Gunda spoke and expelled from boarding school
I grew up in boarding school. My schooling is done from La Martinier School in Lucknow. I saw a violence atmosphere around me. Violence started to flourish inside me, but my anger used to come out at the right place. I used to fight for people’s good.
When I used to study in Lucknow, Gundai was very much in UP. For example, some people came to threaten my teacher in school with guns. At that time I was 15 years old. To save the teacher, I also stood up with a hockey stick with my friends, but he too went against me. On the contrary, I was told why you stood up.
Similarly, the sister of a friend of mine was teased. I fought there too. I used to stand with a hockey stick to do good to the people. Gunda was stamped on me in school. In class XII, I was thrown out of Gunda and expelled from there.
Tried to kill at the age of 16
I was 16 years old when my father died. I suddenly felt that I should end my life. I tried suicide four times between 16–18 years. I had made the fourth attempt to finish myself on a railway track near Sarojini Nagar Market in Delhi, but I realized that I was not made to do this. After that, I have never taken care of suicide till date.
If I ever wrote a book, I will write that phase of my life coma state. During that time I did not know anything. If I had understood, I would not have tried for suicide.
Sometimes someone’s house was cleaned and sometimes a guard was made
I ran away from home and went to Delhi again. Here I did many types of work to live myself. In a rich house of Jor Bagh, I started sweeping and cleaning utensils. It was just a week since I was working there and my job went away due to English. I studied at many elite school in Lucknow. Because of this my English was very good. One day he heard me singing the song of Brian Adams and he felt something wrong with this boy. This is how my job went away.
When I was leaving his house, I saw a guard at the gate. I asked him how I would get this job. He explained the address of his company, which was in the Khan market. I walked from Jor Bagh to Khan Market. Going there, I asked for a job and I got a security guard job at a salary of 900 rupees in the showroom of Beneton.
In the morning my eye opened with beating, I was in fever
I remember that during this time I used to sleep with the rest of the guards, rickshaws at the Bagh Community Center and sometimes in Lodhi Garden. One day the police raided the community center and all the people dispersed. I had conjunctivitis with viral. It was raining that night and I was very weak due to being ill.
After running away from the community center, I saw a wooden table away. I went to sleep on it. At around 6 am, I opened with beating my sleep. Two people were beating me badly. The crowd slowly started gathering there. He was killing me and telling me that he slept on our livelihood. The area of Jor Bagh is the area of the rich. There was an uncle in that crowd, when I spoke to him in English, he saved me. From my English, he felt that he was a good man.
There was no money to give to chickpeas
I was a regular customer of a chickpeas in the garden, but when I did not have money, I stopped going there. The guard had a new job in my Beneton showroom. I thought when the salary comes, then I will go. There was a lot of pride inside me. One day someone said that he is looking for me. I went to him fearfully. When I reached there, he started abusing me, but she was not for abuse money. He started saying that you are not coming, my livelihood is not being done. You have to come here everyday from tomorrow. Then for a long time he fed me for free.
Drama teacher refuses to join the act
I was in 11th class and wanted to be part of a drama. I went to my drama teacher and told them that I also want to act. I should be given a roll in the drama. My teacher refused me by saying that you are very naughty. You will also spoil this act. I kept thinking about his refusal for three to four days. I now feel that if they had given me a chance at that time, my life would have been different.
I auditioned for a Hollywood film before the film ‘Kai Po Che’. The director of that film was Oscar Winner. He questioned me when did you think of acting? Then I remembered the story of the 11th class. I realized that it was the first stage when I thought of acting.
Overnight background became a hero from artist
I did not feel like my life. From the world, he was upset with himself. One day he left everyone in Delhi and went back to the mountains. There I was a tracking guide of children and elders. I used to race the bike. Used to take people on trekking, but there was no mind. When my two friends were coming to Mumbai, I came to Mumbai to become an actor with him.
Someone told that Nina Gupta ji is taking auditions for her show, so I went there. Going there, it came to know that standing behind the hero, which is called Cronone. I did not know anything at that time. I just asked how much money would be received. He said eight thousand rupees a month.
I put my multiplication and said yes, but I got a call again the next day, I was called back. When I arrived, I was giving me a lot of respect. I was asked to speak some dialogues. Then he told me that we want to audition for the hero. The channel liked your face very much. In this way, I became the hero of the serial overnight.
I did not know acting. Everyone got upset with me on the set, but at that time there were Garsal and Tarun Katiyar associated with the channel, who showed patience with me. Taught me things. Six months later, I came to know that I was being expelled from the show, but Gursel supported me.
I worked a lot in TV from 2002 to 2007. Many serials did, in which I was in the lead role. TV viewers were also looting my love on me, but I was not good in acting. Second, I was very angry in me. I used to fight with everyone. In such a situation, I was also removed from many shows. I was banned in the TV industry.
Acting course did, life changed with ‘Kai Po Chhe’
To tell the truth, by working in television, I started waking up to become an actor, but when I wanted to know my strength as an actor, I realized that I did not know anything. I started talking to myself what I am doing with my life. I am a reactive person, just keep fighting the most.
I tried to improve myself. As an actor, I started working on myself. Worked on his Hindi, pronunciation. Started reading books and watching movies. I went to New York to learn acting. There, I learned acting at Lee Strasbourg Theater and Film Institute. Then when I came back, I got the film ‘Kai Po Chhe’. This film changed my life.
Sushant’s death was broken, wanted to leave the industry
The death of Sushant Singh Rajput will never be an old thing for me. If anyone talks about Sushant, he immediately hits me. I spent one and a half years with her during the film ‘Kai Po Chhe’. Sushant’s death had such a profound effect on me that I was going to leave the industry. I had closed myself. At that time my series ‘Breed’ was coming. I did not even promote him. I wanted to leave the industry, Mumbai all.
At the age of 16 to 18 years, I tried suicide four times, so I realized what was going on inside. A suicide person does when there is a complete darkness in his life. It does not make the fault of that person, but the fault of the people and the people around the society.
But during that time I suddenly received a call from Smriti Irani. They explained to me on 6 hours of call. Then I called me to meet Delhi. She used to call and explain me every four days. Apart from this, R Madhavan helped me to overcome the shock during that time.
