This major attraction is situated just outside the City of Squamish and about 45 minutes, up the Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver. The highway runs along picturesque; Howe Sound, where you will make your way along the; Westcoast of British Columbia’s … Premier Outdoor Recreation Area!
In fact, Squamish was recently named one of fifty two places to visit back in 2015, by the New York Times. People come from all over the world to experience Squamish and also renowned; ⛷ Whistler, BC ⛷ situated just to the north.
There’s world class rock climbing on the famous; ⛰ Stawamus Chief Monolith, hiking, mountain biking, kite surfing, fishing and even snow skiing in the winter, in this part of the Province.
Now, this area has the Sea to Sky Gondola attraction, to add to its incredible list, of adventures!

For those wishing to hike, there are numerous; easy walking to advanced level summer hiking trails, for you to enjoy. There are scheduled interpretive guided walking tours as well, to take part in at various times, of the year.

We enjoyed a leisurely 1.6 km peaceful walk on the {Panorama Trail}, which led to … The Chief Viewing Platform.
This was a well-groomed easy level trail to walk and take in nature and the great outdoors!

The views were spectacular!
From the platform you have a view of the famous; Stawamus Chief. This is one of the largest granite monoliths to be found anywhere in the world, and attracts; mountain climbers, from around the globe.

Dine & Shopping At The Gondola Summit
After enjoying the views and hiking and/or just strolling about, head on in to the main lodge. Up top, you’ll find the … Summit Restaurant, Teahouse and Edge Bar.
A great place to for something to eat and/or enjoy a favorite beverage. There’s a lovely deck outside complete with fireplace, for you to sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
There’s also a souvenir shop at the summit in the main lodge, to browse through as well. As well, you’ll find another down below, at the base of the gondola. There’s also the; ☕ Base Camp Café.
So as you see, there’s plenty to see and do, while visiting this wonderful major attraction, in Squamish, BC.
Be sure to make this a part of your travel plans, when visiting this beautiful region of the; Province of British Columbia.

For those visiting Vancouver and wishing not to drive, there is a convenient; all-inclusive shuttle bus service running, as well.
The Squamish Connector offers round-trip shuttle service from downtown Vancouver, to the Sea to Sky Gondola, with convenient pick up/drop off from several locations.
