Prithviraj Sukumaran is in discussions about his upcoming film L2 Emporan. Meanwhile, he shared the experience of working with Akshay Kumar in his first Hindi film Selfie. He said that Akshay refused to charge fees for the film. The actor had said that if the film earns money then he will take fees for this.
Akshay did not charge fees for selfie
Prithviraj Sukumaran, while sharing the experience of working with Akshay in a conversation with Pinkvila, said, ‘I have made a film with Akshay sir. For this, he did not take even one rupee. When I talked about fees to Akshay sir, he just said that, if the film earns money, I will take my fees. The film proved to be a flop at the box office, due to which Akshay sir did not charge fees.
The film Selfie was released in theaters in the year 2023.
Sukumaran also does not charge fees before the film is a hit
Prithviraj Sukumaran had earlier talked about his way of working in an interview. He had said that he never works on a project for fixed salary. He always keeps the success of the film in mind. If a film proves to be a hit, then he charges fees and if the film proves to be a flop at the box office, then Sukumaran does not bring even one rupee.
‘I and Akshay follow models to do work’
Prithviraj Sukumaran said that Akshay Kumar also follows the model of doing similar work. Prithviraj Sukumaran made his Bollywood industry debut as a producer from the film Selfie. The film proved to be a box office flop. The film was a remake of the Malayalam film driving license made in the production of Selfie Prithviraj Sukumaran. The selfie featured Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles. Nusrat Bharucha appeared as Emraan Hashmi’s wife in the film. The film was released in theaters in 2023.
Talking about Akshay Kumar’s upcoming project, he will be seen in LLB 3, Housefull 5, Welcome to the Jungle and Hera Pheri 3. Along with this, Akshay is also working on the horror-comedy film Bhoot Bangla. Recently the release date of Kesari Chapter 2 has also been announced. The film will be released on 18 April.
