Air India flight AI-119 from Mumbai to New York received a bomb on Monday morning. The flight was then brought back to Mumbai. The flight had 322 passengers, including 19 crew members.

Air India reported that a note was found in the flight washroom, threatening the bomb. Keeping in mind the security protocol, the aircraft was diverted to Mumbai by the way.

The aircraft reached Mumbai at 10:25 pm. Currently, security agencies are engaged in investigation. Air India said that we are sorry for the inconvenience caused to the passengers. We will fly again at 5 am on March 11. Passengers have been provided hotel housing, food and other necessary assistance.

Air India flight AI119 flew from Terminal-2 of Mumbai Airport to New York at 1:43 pm.

Flight on March 11 at 5 am The airline said that the passengers do not have any kind of trouble, for this, complete arrangements have been made to eat and stay. The flight has now been rested for 5 am on March 11.

Air India said in the statement- Our team is working continuously at the ground level so that the passengers do not have any inconvenience. Our biggest priority is the safety of passengers and crew.

Air India flight returned to Chicago Earlier on March 6, another flight from Chicago to Delhi had to return to Chicago 5 hours after the flight due to technical fault. An airline spokesperson said on Monday that alternative arrangements were made on time to take passengers to their destination.

The airline spokesman said the flight was above Greenland on 6 March 2025, when 11 out of 12 toilets of the aircraft were closed. For about 300 passengers, only one toilet remained on, which was in business class. In such a situation, the flight had to be decided to return to the O’Ahre International Airport in Chicago amid a 14 -hour journey.
