Afghanistan’s Home Ministry has claimed that the US has removed a $ 10 million reward from Taliban leader and Home Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani. The US had announced to give this reward for giving information for Haqqani’s arrest. However, no information has been given by the US State Ministry so far.
Haqqani’s name is currently included in the list of Wanted on the US investigating agency FBI’s website. Sirajuddin Haqqani is the head of Afghanistan and Pakistan’s infamous Haqqani network, which was declared by the US in 2012. Haqqani is considered the mastermind of an attack on a hotel in Kabul in 2008, killing many people.
After the Taliban returned to power in 2021, Haqqani was made the acting internal minister of Afghanistan. In 2010, the US declared a $ 10 million reward for giving information related to his arrest.
